How we grew…

Fleurs of Litchfield was born from existing gardening company Litchfield and Fox based in West Sussex. A winning combination of horticultural brains with artistic flare. Our fingers are truly green and sparkly!

Our ethos for Fleurs is to grow as many of our subscription flowers on site as possible and primarily support British growers and promote seasonally led flowers for weddings and events.

We also wanted to rid ourselves of all packaging. So instead we adopted for the ‘milk bottle’ model, and simply swap your vase with your new delivery. So all you need to do is find a spot and get ready to marvel.

Our van is electric and we will compost your old flowers here on site.

There is so much change going on in this industry towards using more sustainable methods and we are excited to be a part of that.

Skye…

Skye is a renowned local gardener and owner of Litchfield and Fox Garden Maintenance company.

Having worked in the horticulture industry since her teenage years.

From cultivating them, to arranging them, there is simply nothing Skye doesn’t know about flowers.

Always on hand to give great advise about seasonly led choices.

Otherwise known as ‘The Glamorous Gardener’, you can catch Skye with her barrel rolls in, on a rock n’ roll dance floor.

Lucie…

Lucie is an illustrator of maps and architectural scribbles.

A former employee of Litchfield and Fox Garden’s, but having always had a keen interest in floristry she took a leap and joined forces with Skye to create Fleurs of Litchfield.

With a good understanding of design, colour and composition, in conjunction with a horticultural background, the path led directly to floristry.

An total nutcase for history, you can find Lucie skipping around castles.

“Flowers do speak a language, clear and intelligible. Observe them, love them, linger over them and ask your own heart if they do not speak affection, benevolence and piety”

- Vanessa Diffenbaugh The Language of Flowers
